Luxury Townhome Community in Old Town Fort Collins

Intentional design. Intentional living.

La Vie Lumière is a collection of fifteen luxury townhomes in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins — architecture which transforms space into a sensory experience using high-quality materials, an abundance of natural light, and thoughtful proportions. European in spirit, and built for the long pleasures of a life well-lived.

80% of how long you live is shaped by lifestyle and environment — not genetics.

Thoughtful architecture for intentional living

These townhomes were inspired by European influence — Parisian proportions, Scandinavian warmth, Finnish light philosophy. Ten-foot ceilings. French windows positioned to pull daylight deep into every room. Materials that develop character over years.

This is what it looks like when the people who designed the building have lived and studied in Paris, Copenhagen, and Rome.

Old Town as a way of living

Old Town Fort Collins has the kind of daily life most neighborhoods promise and few deliver. Coffee shops, trails, farmers markets, live music, 2 theaters, 2 museums, 26 local breweries, 100+ restaurants, an abundance of boutique shops and salons, and the Front Range at the edge of your view. La Vie Lumière sits at the center of it all.

A proven legacy, directly across Oak Street

La Vie Lumière was designed by Laurie and Bob Davis of Davis Davis Architects — the same team behind L'Avenir, the award-winning, LEED Platinum Net Zero townhome community directly across Oak Street.

La Vie Lumière was designed by Laurie and Bob Davis of Davis Davis Architects — the same team behind L'Avenir, the award-winning, LEED Platinum Net Zero townhome community directly across Oak Street. For this next chapter, they are joined by [au]workshop: Architects + Urbanists, a Fort Collins-based practice whose work is guided by a belief that good design should add lasting dignity to cities — not follow trends, but quietly improve the places people live for the long run.

With L'Avenir, they demonstrated what they had long believed: that sustainable, architecturally thoughtful design makes every day feel effortless in ways that are hard to articulate until you experience and feel it firsthand.

La Vie Lumière is the next chapter — refined with five years of lessons learned from L'Avenir, expanded from four homes to fifteen, and designed around a shared central courtyard.

Watch the La Vie Lumière ground breaking

Quiet you didn't know you were missing

Triple-glazed windows. High-performance walls built nearly twice the standard thickness. Close the door, and the city sounds stay outside. Plus, a double-wall void system between shared walls delivers near-zero sound transmission between homes.

Built net zero.
Crafted to last.

You'll notice some of it immediately — the quiet, the air quality, the way the light moves through the space. The rest reveals itself over years, in lower bills, better finishes, and a home that holds its value without effort.

Purposefully Scaled Design. Communal by nature.

Fifteen homes gathered around Le Jardin D'Arbresa shared courtyard at the heart of the community. The kind of space that turns neighbors into familiar faces, and daily life into something worth savoring.

The details you'll live with every day

The material palette speaks in texture, warmth, and longevity. Materials that deepen with character over time. Natural wood that holds the warmth of the afternoon long after it has passed. Every finish and fitting placed with the quiet confidence of something designed, not just installed.

This is a home that has a Saturday morning waiting for you — coffee in hand, no particular place to be — light coming through the French windows, tracing the grain of the wood, settling on stone that is already beginning to tell its story. The details are chosen with care. But they exist for this — the unhurried life that unfolds inside them.

Effortless sustainability

A home that gives back

The best sustainable design is the kind you don't have to think about.

Air that's quietly refreshed around the clock through a whole-home energy recovery ventilator, cycling fresh air in without letting the warmth out. Walls wrapped in three inches of continuous insulation that hold the temperature steady. Triple-glazed windows that maintain an interior temperature more easily despite the conditions outside. Energy bills that reflect a building designed with real intention.

Net-zero LEED Platinum standard. At La Vie Lumière, sustainability isn't a feature — it's the foundation every decision is built on.
